Just like that, the hopes and dreams of the playoffs have come and gone for the Miami Dolphins and the season is over.

However, it is not all over yet, as the future of this team should excite you.

I know you hear the same thing each year, but the Dolphins found a lot out about their football team this year, and they are a couple of key pieces away from becoming a playoff contender.

Luckily for the Dolphins and their fans, the 2022 NFL Draft will be here before we know it.

Miami’s 2021 NFL Draft was a grand slam.

The Miami Dolphins need to have another great draft in 2022.

First up was wide receiver, Jaylen Waddle.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide receiver has been as advertised this season, and he is a building block moving forward. Next up was the No. 18 overall pick, edge defender Jaelan Phillips.

Some fans did not believe in Phillips, but the former Miami Hurricane has been turning doubters into believers one sack at a time this season. Phillips is a star on the edge, and Miami has a pass rusher they can trust for years to come.

Next up was Jevon Holland. The former Oregon Duck’s safety has instantly become an impact player for the Dolphins defense, and it is clear that general manager Chris Grier’s first three picks of the 2021 NFL Draft will be hits.

It is not easy to hit on your first three picks, but if the Dolphins are going to make the playoffs next season, they need to make sure their draft picks go to good use, and they do in this seven-round mock draft.

Let me know what you think about the monster trade Miami makes early in this mock draft, as well as any late-round players you like!
