Round 3: James Cook, RB, Georgia

Every year I fall in love with certain players in the draft, some early-round prospects, some later. For the 2022 NFL Draft, I have a major draft crush on one running back, Georgia running back James Cook.

I am hesitant to have a draft crush on Cook because I do not know how many more times I can hear that he is Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook’s brother, but hey, did you know that Cook is Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook’s brother??

Cook has the bloodlines for the NFL, and he has the talent. Cook is only listed at 190, so it would be nice if he could gain 5-10 pounds in the NFL, but he runs like he is 215-220. Cook finishes his runs, and he loves to play the game of football.

Georgia moves him all around, and he would be an Alvin Kamara-type player for the Dolphins. Having a quarterback like Watson, with a running back that can get open when a play breaks down, would give the Dolphins a great safety blanket on offense.

In the first round of the college football playoffs, I mentioned that Cook could have a big game, and he did not disappoint. This kid is a DUDE!
