Miami Dolphins: Five college coaches to consider for head coach
By Pablo Rosero
Would Ryan Day be able to super charge the Miami Dolphins lackluster offense?
Ohio State’s Ryan Day could be an option that stands out the most to not just the Miami Dolphins, but NFL teams. He’s what NFL teams have sought after, an offensive-minded head coach that has a history of his teams putting up major numbers.
Not only did Day coach 2021 first-round pick Justin Fields, but it seems he has another first-round pick at Ohio State with C.J. Stroud. Day has taken these quarterbacks to another level and the hope would be he could do the same with Tagovailoa.
There’s a clear theme with some of these head coaches, and that’s that they come in and help the Dolphins offense perform. It’s a shame that fans don’t trust this offense to consistently score, not just touchdowns but field goals also.
If Day makes the leap, fans would hope he does better than the Urban Meyer, the man who coached Ohio State before him. Meyer didn’t even last a calendar year before being fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It’s hard to imagine Day leaving the Buckeyes, but it’s also hard not to see why he wouldn’t make the leap. Chicago could be another team targeting day allowing him to reunite with Fields.
