The Miami Dolphins are continuing with Chris Grier much to the dislike of many fans but he could be a solid draw for a new head coach.

Like many fans, I have been hard on Chris Grier and I too have been shaking my head as to why he is here and Flores is not. The reality of it is, after speaking to a lot of media guys in the know is that Grier is accommodating, too accommodating. A new head coach is going to have some say in who ends up on his roster. Who the team drafts and he will also have say in the quarterback situation according to Steve Ross.

Grier may be a big part of the problem in Miami but that doesn’t mean he is solely responsible or that he isn’t viewed in a positive way by others in the NFL.

Any new HC will find working Grier pretty easy unless they don’t want it to be. Consider that Grier tried to smooth over things with a HC that wouldn’t speak with him on many occasions.

He isn’t perfect but he shouldn’t be a reason that an HC candidate walks away.
