3. Potential

I mentioned boom or bust, and I truly believe hiring Mike McDaniel would be boom or bust. However, one of the reasons to hire him is because of the boom.

Yes, I get it; the bust could be astronomical for Miami. McDaniel could come to Miami and completely flop and set the franchise back further. You have to understand right away that this could happen, and hiring McDaniel is not a sure thing.

But what if he is a boom? That boom will be franchise-altering in a great way. Miami may be hiring him a year or two too soon, but sometimes getting in early is the way to go.

McDaniel has coached for a long time as well and had great connections in the NFL. So you could also hope that his staff would potentially be elite as well.
