Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr.

It is no mystery that the Miami Dolphins are in dire need of offensive lineman help, but how will they address this need? The Dolphins have multiple options that span between free agency and the 2022 NFL draft, although they’ll need to actually hit on their picks.

Last offseason, the Kansas City  Chiefs dealt their first-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Orlando Brown Jr. The former Oklahoma Sooner had one of the worst NFL combines in NFL history and fell into the Raven’s laps.

Brown proved that the NFL is more than just how fast a player can run, but what can be done on the field. He moved to right tackle and excelled, but wanted to play left tackle and request a deal.

After the Chiefs lost in the Super Bowl they realized they needed to upgrade their offensive line. Targeting Brown through trade, drafting Creed Humphrey, and signing Joe Thuney led to a revamped offensive line, something the Dolphins should do as well.

As the Chiefs starting left tackle, Brown allowed 4 sacks and had 7 penalties while playing 1127 snaps on the season. He’s an elite left tackle and will be paid as such, Miami should aim to pay the tackle if he hits free agency.
