Los Angles Rams cornerback Darious Williams Jr.

The Miami Dolphins are in need of a solid nickel corner to slot in between Xavien Howard and Byron Jones for the 2022 season. The player could come as a rookie draft pick, a free agent signing, or maybe the next head coach will give Noah Igbinoghene more opportunities.

If the Dolphins choose to go with a free agent singing, the team could go with Los Angeles Rams cornerback Darious Williams Jr.

Williams bursted out on the season his rookie season and has excels playing across from All-Pro cornerback Jaylen Ramsey. The 5-foot-9 corner has struggled this season, but has still been a viable option across the All-Pro.

Willaims saw more zone coverage due to his size, and Miami plays a good amount of zone defense. Williams has the ability to play both inside and outside and has done so at a high level against multiple good players.

He will draw his toughest test of the seasons playing against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional round.

Corner isn’t a position the Dolphins should look to pay a premium for this offseason, but it could be an option. Miami should fill the position via the draft, but will need to keep their options open.
