Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams

Likely the top free agent on the board, and the one player the Miami Dolphins probably won’t have any chance at in free agency, is still playing in the playoffs and should be a target if he hits free agency, a big if. It seems as though the only way Adams, who is currently on the franchise tag, will want to remain with the Green Bay Packers is if Aaron Rodgers returns to the team.

If Rodgers does not return it will be interesting to see what Adams and the Packers do. Adams apparently has a very close relationship with Derek Carr, who could also be on the move this offseason.

It seems as though Adams’ choice would come down to the quarterback he would play with and it brings up the question of if Tagovailoa is the quality of quarterback that he would want to play with. The current response would likely be no, as good as Tagovailoa has shown he could be he has yet to fully prove that he can be that type of quarterback.

Expect Adams to either return to Green Bay with Rodgers or team up with Carr wherever he ends up playing for in 2022.
