Miami Dolphins: 15 Playoff Players to target
By Pablo Rosero
Green Bay Packers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell
Set to hit free agency, Campbell has had himself a career season and was rewarded for it being named to the First Team All-Pro squad. Campbell would be an interesting player to target for the Dolphins giving them a playmaker alongside Jerome Baker.
In his first season with the Packers, Campbell helped improve the team’s run defense and totaled 146 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, 5 pass deflections, and 2 forced fumbles. He was all over the field for one of the best defenses in the league.
Campbell may not be a big name like other players on this list, but he could be the perfect counterpart for Baker. Not only does he have experience playing outside linebacker, but he spent the season as the Packers’ best inside linebacker.
Next to Baker, the two can be interchangeable for whoever will be calling defense for the Dolphins next season. Under Josh Boyer’s system, Baker was asked to do a lot for the Dolphins season, and having another high-impact middle linebacker should benefit the entire defense.
Linebacker is not a pressing need for the Dolphins, but a player like Campbell would be a solid free-agent addition for the team’s defense this offseason.
