Kansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams

The Miami Dolphins are in dire need of running back help and they will need to find it wherever they can at this point. All things considered, Kansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams is not a bad place to look for that solution.

Williams did not start his first NFL game until this season when Chiefs starter Clyde Edwards-Helaire went down with an injury, but when he started in his place he was serviceable for the team. Williams was able to contribute both through the ground as a rusher and through the air as a receiver.

He’s not as dominant a player as other backs on this list, but he was able to make an impact and has proven his worth as an NFL running back. Currently, he is starting for the Chiefs in the playoffs due to a collar bone injury that is keeping Edwards-Helaire sidelined.

As he is set to hit free agency, Williams offers interesting experience and could be a solid option for the Dolphins if they once again choose not to chase the star-studded backs. They should chase those options, but it’s not a bad idea to keep multiple choices in mind with Chris Grier as the team’s general manager.
