Miami Dolphins: Remaining head coaching options
By Pablo Rosero
Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh
Stephen Ross has stated that he does not want to be the person who takes Jim Harbaugh away from his alma mater Michigan. Ross may not like it, but there still seems to be a chance that Harbaugh spurns the Wolverines for another shot at the NFL.
After a horrendous 2020 season, Harbaugh and the Wolverines bounced back in 2021 winning the Big-10 and making it into the College Football Playoffs for the first time in program history. The team would lose to eventual National Champions Georgia Bulldogs and the news of Harbaugh leaving Michigan went rampant.
Early in the process the Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, and Miami Dolphins were allegedly chasing after him. However, as Harbaugh made hires to his Michigan staff, there was doubt he would come to the NFL again.
As a former NFL head coach, Harbaugh led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012 only to lose to his brother John and the Baltimore Ravens. He has been out of the NFL since 2014 and has been the Michigan head coach since 2015.
The Dolphins may have not declared him as a finalist, but now with Daboll out of the picture, Harbaugh could be a shocking player for the team’s head coaching job.
