Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore

Besides McDaniel, Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is the second rumored finalist for the Miami Dolphins head coaching opening. Moore has worked as the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator since 2019.

Prior to his role as the offensive coordinator, Moore was an undrafted free agent signing by the Detroit Lions out of Boise State. He signed on to play quarterback with the Cowboys in 2015 until 2017 and then became the teams quarterback coach in 2018.

Moore was given the keys to an offense that featured Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and a top notch offensive line. The team made it back to the playoffs in 2021, but the offense struggled at points during the season.

The biggest surprise came on the teams last play of their season against the 49ers in the Wild Card playoff game. The team called a quarterback draw and were unable to clock it.

Moore, like McDaniel, is one of the young offensive minds that the league has seen takeover. It is unknown what the rest of his staff would look like, but as a former left handed quarterback in the NFL, Moore has experience knowing what Tagovialoa goes through in the league.
