Round 1: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

Well, well, well… Miami hires an offensive genius, who then drafts an elite linebacker in the first round? YUP!

I am sure there will be a lot of excitement to see what Mike McDaniel does with the offense, but I think McDaniel’s experiences in the NFL will allow him to make a home run pick here.

Devin Lloyd is one of my draft crushes, and personally, I do not think he will make it to pick 29, but he did for this mock draft on The Draft Network. And I made the pick so quick because if Lloyd is on the board at 29, Miami needs to draft him.

McDaniel understands the need for a dominant defense and one with a great linebacker. At his last two stops, he had Deion Jones and Fred Warner.

I think Jerome Baker is solid, but Lloyd is on another level. Lloyd would team up with Baker to give the Dolphins a stacked linebacker room.

I thought Micah Parsons would be a star in the NFL right away, and while it will be hard for Lloyd to do what Parsons did in year one, I think he could still have a big impact.
