Round 5: Dameon Pierce, RB, Florida

It is officially Mike McDaniel season in Miami, which means the run game will actually be important! That is why Miami gets the versatile James Cook first, and then boom, they get a grinder between the tackles with former Florida Gators running back Dameon Pierce.

Pierce was one of my hidden gems, but he may go even earlier now because of his dominant week at the Senior Bowl. Pierce will have a better NFL career than he did in college, and he would be a perfect running back to play in McDaniel’s offense.

Round 6: Chris Owens, Center, Alabama

Alabama offensive lineman Chris Owens played all over at Alabama, and the reviews were mixed. Some people loved him, some people hated him, but I like his potential at center long term in the NFL.

I think he is a smart offensive lineman, and if you allow him to focus on center and just center, I think he could be a starter one day in the NFL. I also think drafting offensive lineman from Alabama is smart because those guys are darn good.

Round 7: Bubba Bolden, S, Miami

I still believe Bubba Bolden will go much higher than this, but it is impossible for me not to take him when he is still here in the mock draft. Bolden has tons of issues, but he has tons of talent. Coaches in the NFL bet on talent, so I would think Miami would too.

Next. Dolphins should follow Bills and Chiefs and not settle for a QB. dark
