Miami Dolphins must sign Terron Armstead

The Miami Dolphins need to improve their offensive line and that should start with being willing to spend big money on a player. The team has tried drafting offensive lineman in the draft and have not yielded overall positive results.

The Dolphins have not gone out and spent big bucks on the If the Dolphins can walk away with left tackle Terron Armstead, then it would instantly improve the teams offensive line.

Armstead, a former third round pick by the New Orleans Saints, was injured for parts of 2021 with a knee injury that he needed a procedure on. Even with the injury he is still expected to be the top free agent offensive tackle available in free agency.

Armstead is likely to see $23.9 million per year, according to Spotrac. The Dolphins decided to deal Larmey Tunsil rather than pay him back in 2019, a decision that worked out in the end.

The Dolphins will need to decide on wether they will want to take that big next step or continue to hop they can develop offensive lineman. Armstead would be the best option and it is unlikely the Saints will be unable to keep the left tackle, in a deal or through the franchise tag.
