Denver Broncos pair Justin Simmons with Notre Dame S Kyle Hamilton at nine

Pick Analysis. Notre Dame. KyleHamilton. player. 45. Scouting Report. Safety. 9

The Denver Broncos have a new head coach in Nathaniel Hackett and a roster that is more along than any other team selecting in the top ten. So why are they picking this early? Well, they had quarterback issues in 2021.

While Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater weren’t terrible, they struggled to achieve what this roster should’ve achieved. It is more than likely that the team will go big game fishing with the caliber of quarterbacks rumored to be available.

With the hiring of Hackett, the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator, there have been rumors that the team could attempt to go after Aaron Rodgers. While that is uncertain, they could also target Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Jimmy Garrappolo, or one of the free-agent quarterbacks.

For now, they still have their pick and they’d be foolish to let Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton continue to slide down the draft. Pairing Justin Simmons with the 6-foot-4 safety would put the Broncos on track to have the best safety duo in the league,

They’ll have to solve their quarterback issue, but as long as they have this pick, Hamilton would slot in immediately to an already impressive young mile-high defense and secondary.
