Patriots add a weapon at 21 with USC WR Drake London

The New England Patriots ended the season with back-to-back losses against AFC East opponents. The first against the Miami Dolphins in week 18 and the next in the Wild Card round against the Buffalo Bills. They also ended the season with five losses in their last seven games.

Last year’s first-round pick quarterback Mac Jones was impressive in his rookie season, so much so that he was named an injury replacement for the Pro-Bowl. Although he will need some more weapons.

In 2021, Jones was throwing to Nelson Aghlor, Kendrick Bourne, and Jakobi Meyers at wideout. Adding USC wide receiver Drake London will be a massive addition. London was named the PAC-12 offensive player of the year despite only playing in eight games due to an ACL injury.

At 6-foot-5, London is a massive player that can play every spot on the field at wideout. The Patriots need to give Jones an upgrade at receiver, something they were missing at the end of Brady’s tenure.

Had London stayed healthy, he likely would’ve been the top receiver in this draft class, but he’ll still end up as a first-round pick. The Patriots will happily walk away with London and the upgrade at wideout.
