Trent Brown – RT – New England Patriots

At 6’8″ 380 lbs Trent Brown is one of the biggest and most intimidating big men in the NFL, he’s also one of the most reliable RT’s in the game. During the 2021-2022 season Brown only gave up one sack and is also one of the most disciplined players with only 1 penalty the entire year. Trent Brown was also given a 77.6 PFF grade which would rank him among the top OL in the NFL.

Protecting Tua Tagovailoa’s blind side is essential for the Dolphins QB to gain confidence and also focus on reading the field, instead of having a thought in the back of his mind that it’s only a matter of time before Jesse Davis let’s him get killed.

The most important position in the OL for the QB is his blind-side, for a left handed QB that would mean the RT position, and there is no man better fit to fill that role than Trent Brown.

On top of that Brown is also a bulldozer and can be a key piece to upgrading McDaniel’s run game, the run starts in the trenches. 2 veterans like Ryan Jensen and Trent Brown added to pass protection, run game, and veteran leadership roles is only going to help the young OL already in the building improve.

With an upgraded OL the run game and pass game will see huge boosts and will allow McDaniel’s offense to be more creative, an elite OL would fast forward the process and likely make Miami a physically dominating team if the goal is to play smash-mouth football.

Trent Brown:

  • Durability.
  • Performance.
  • Urgency.
  • Experience.
  • Scheme fit.
  • Elite protection.
  • Blind-side pillar of safety.

Trent Brown will be one of the hottest commodities in the market, he is an established, experienced, and trustworthy RT which is the Dolphins biggest need at this time. Tagovailoa won’t be fully unlocked until the blind-side position is fixed. If the Dolphins really want to go all in on Tagovailoa and establish a dominant run game then give Trent Brown a blank check.
