Nik Needham shouldn’t have stuck around as long he has. In his rookie season, fans wanted him gone but he stuck around. In his 2nd season, he got better.

Last year, his third in the NFL, Needham has made a nice jump at the right time. The game is slowing down for him and he is no longer a liability. In fact, the Dolphins would be smart to tender the RFA and keep him on the roster.

Needham is one of those players that make your realize that giving up on a player too soon is a mistake. In years past, the Dolphins did just that.

Stay or go? I would keep Needham.

The rest of the FA players really are no more than depth with some upside and some downside. If the Dolphins don’t bring back guys like Elandon Roberts or Elijah Campbell, they will replace them with others who are on the same levels.
