The Dolphins enter into free-agency with just under $50 million in available cap-space. Compared to the rest of the NFL, they already have more space than most, but we have a lot of work to do. The AFC continues to get stronger with the additions of Russell Wilson in Denver, and Khalil Mack in Los Angelas.

Before we get started, I’d like to say how much I appreciate every player that will be released. I have loyalty rooted for each one, and I make these cuts with great hesitation and sadness.

Cuts

  • Jesse Davis – $3.61 million in savings
  • Greg Little – $1,536,672
  • Cethan Carter – $2.525
  • Allen Hurns – $2.575
  • DeVante Parker – $6,044,118 (post-June 1st)
  • Eric Rowe – $4.55
  • Adam Butler – $4.15
  • Clayton Fejedelem – $2.775

Of course there’s players we’d like to retain, who have their contracts expiring. While we can’t bring them all back, we will bring some.
