Scheme fit for McDaniel

There aren’t too many players who should be more excited about the arrival of new head coach Mike McDaniel than Lynn Bowden Jr. Over his time in the NFL with different teams, McDaniel and his system have been able to get the most out of certain players, and even elevating some of them to stardom based mostly on his schemes.

Bowden can be that guy for the Dolphins in 2021. Of course, Jaylen Waddle is going to be a focal point for the offense and will likely be the big star receiver in Miami in 2022. But all of the attention will be on him and other more well-known threats on the team’s offense, meaning that Bowden could sneak under the radar when it comes to game planning by opposing teams. His versatility will allow him to work out of the backfield as well as be a pre-snap motion guy, and his history as a passer (74 attempts, 403 yards, 3 touchdowns during junior year of college) can make him a serious triple threat if McDaniel uses him correctly and gets the most out of his abilities.
