Naturally, trading for Tyreek Hill is awesome on several levels

This might be a bit of hyperbole but I don’t care. Though it remains to be seen, I feel that the Dolphins will be able to draw up anything they want on the offensive side of the ball.

They shored up the offensive line by signing Terron Armstead and Connar Williams. I still think signing a center such as JC Tretter should still be something that they pursue but at the moment, it’s not awful. I have to think that Mike McDaniel and new offensive line coach Matt Applebaum see Austin Jackson and Liam Eichenberg and think to themselves they can work with these guys.

They also added solid running backs in Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert to run behind that offensive line. I imagine Gaskin will still be there and I wouldn’t be shocked if they go and another running back somewhere down the line.

But just trying to think of all different ways Mike McDaniel can line up Hill, Waddle, Gesicki, Cedrick Wilson, and hopefully, Lynn Bowden Jr. has me thinking like I’m the kid from Blank Check. The only thing limiting Mike McD is his imagination and based on some of the plays and approaches we saw in San Francisco, I think he can come up with some unique strategies that make the game real easy for Tua and that puts our lightning-fast skill guys in the best position to succeed which is all we want.

Just off the top of my head, I have Hill split out wide, Waddle in the slot, Bowden motioning to the backfield, and Gesicki at X receiver. I know on paper means nothing but that seems like something that could work.

We know and have seen Tyreek Hill absolutely torch(that’s even an understatement) defenses in small games and in the biggest of games. We saw what he did to the Bills in the divisional round. This play made me believe in a higher power.

Having a cheat code like Tyreek Hill is like having peak insert any great basketball player on the floor. They have to be accounted for on every possession. There aren’t many players in the NFL that get treated like that though it gets said a lot. Tyreek Hill is one of those guys and guess what? Jaylen Waddle started to show that he might be one of those guys as well.

The defense gets affected by this as well. They don’t have to enter every game thinking that they have to100%  hold whatever team they’re playing to 17 points. They can get beat a few times and it’s not a death wish.

The possibilities are endless with the offense and if the running game does only 20% more than what it did last year then it’s going to be Katy by the door.
