Raheem Mostert, RB:

The days of Myles Gaskin punishing opposing defenses 1.5 Yards at a time are most likely behind us, besides the addition ofChase Edmonds the Miami Dolphins also re-acquired Raheem Mostert. A speed-demon at the RB position, and one of the X-Factors for the 49ers Super Bowl run in 2019.

Mostert’s story is hard to root for, you might have noticed I said the Dolphins “re-acquired” Mostert because he used to play for Miami in 2015, he ended up never seeing the field and got cut. Besides the Dolphins Mostert would also sign for 3 other teams before ending up with the 49ers.

In San Francisco Mostert finally saw playing time and the rest is history, in 2021  Mostert dealt with injuries that kept him out most of the season. But when Healthy Mostert could truly catch fire for the Dolphins running game, back in Miami running the same schemes he ran with his old boss.

Due to injuries in 2021, and the 49ers RB by committee philosophy we will look at Mostert’s stats from 2019-2020.

Raheem Mostert by the numbers, 2019-2020 – Rushing:
