This one could be up there in the Tretter prototype of swinging for the fences. I think a great fit would be Calais Campbell. At 35 years old, this is a win now type of move, and I am all for it.
Campbell posted a 80.8 overall grade, according to PFF, and he is the type of guy you put next to either Jaelan Phillips or Emmanuel Ogbah, expecting nothing but havoc to ensue.
Campbell wants to play somewhere he can win, and may command a lot of money, but with the way the Dolphins interior line struggled to get pressure at times, he is worth every penny.
This would be another move that the Dolphins have cap space to make, and would show how serious they truly are about winning. This is an all in type of move, and a great locker room presence if nothing truly ends up working.
Imagine Jaelan Phillips and Andrew Van Ginkel getting to watch the way Campbell gets after the passer everyday. That is something that should get your pulse going quite quickly.
