Miami Dolphins: Pre-draft roster predictions by position
By Brian Miller
Jerome Baker will again lead the Miami Dolphins linebackers into 2022 and this should be an interesting off-season.
Miami didn’t make any big roster moves at the linebacker position but they did bring back four of their own impending free agents. That shouldn’t go unnoticed because it keeps continuity throughout the unit. The linebackers need to play better and far more attacking, especially from the middle but the unit should be fine and I would expect a bigger dive into the position next off-season.
Current roster
- Jerome Baker
- Sam Eguavoen
- Andrew Van Ginkel
- Darius Hodge
- Calvin Munson
- Jaelan Phillips
- Duke Riley
- Elandon Roberts
- Brennan Scarlett
Seven players should have little problem making the roster unless Miami adds in free agency or makes a trade we don’t see coming. I expect eight spots to go to the linebackers but I’m not 100% sold on who will be the 8th member because Miami could go the draft route.
What I do believe is that the final spot on this unit will come down to Calvin Munson and someone else but I think the team does go with 8.
