Miami Dolphins: Pre-draft roster predictions by position
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins made Xavien Howard a rich man again and the CBs on the roster are better for him staying.
Xavien Howard got the contract that Chris Grier promised him last year and Miami’s secondary, one of the best in the NFL remained completely intact. Now, with no offseason drama on the horizon, the Dolphins won’t be forced to make any moves that would be considered surprising.
Current roster
- Javaris Davis
- Xavien Howard
- Noah Igbinoghene
- Byron Jones
- Nik Needham
- Trill Williams
- Elijah Campbell
- Keion Crossen
- D’Angelo Ross
- Quincy Wilson
No drama equals a solid off-season of training and the continuity left over from last year keeps the secondary moving forward. Miami made sure to keep Nik Needham instead of letting him hit free agency. Needham worked hard the last couple of years to improve and his work paid off with an extension.
There shouldn’t be any surprises coming out of camp.
