Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns:

I know what most of you are thinking “how is Watson ranked so low?” so let’s dive in, Deshaun Watson recently signed a $230 Million dollar fully guaranteed contract with the Cleveland Browns. Watson also hasn’t played a snap of football in almost a year and a half, and has a pretty dark case looming over his head.

Last time we saw Watson on a football field he was in peak form, and arguably one of the top 3 best QB’s in the NFL. After a year and a half of not playing football I don’t expect for Watson to pick up right where he left off.

Watson’s case could also see him suspended at any point in the season, and with such a big mental burden hanging over his head I can see that affecting him mentally to the point it affects his play on the field. I don’t see how it would be humanly possible for anybody to block off that type of mental burden until after the cases are resolved.

And the resolution of Watson’s cases could clear his name, or find him in more difficult situations moving forward. Many NFL fans, Browns fans, and people from Cleveland have made it clear how they feel about Watson, and it’s an uncomfortable situation.

Will winning cure all? Or will early struggles as Watson acclimates light a fire that gets out of hand in Cleveland? After all if there is one organization that knows how to clean up messes, it’s the Browns.
