3 rival draft picks that could mean trouble for Miami Dolphins
The New England Patriots have been a thorn in the side of the Miami Dolphins for years. Will the add any rookies who can keep the tradition going?
Possible Selection: Tyler Linderbaum
Unless one of them experiences an unexpected leap up the standings, the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots will likely be battling for second place in the AFC East. On paper, it would appear that the former has the upper hand, given their flurry of activity in free agency and the lack there of for the Patriots.
But as the Miami Dolphins and the rest of the division know, Bill Belichick should never be counted out no matter what his roster looks like, especially in late April and early May. They, too, have a full arsenal of picks, including the Dolphins 5th rounder. New England’s first selection will be made with the 21st overall pick, and they could land a serious difference maker on Day 1.
One of the prospects that the Patriots could select is Tyler Linderbaum, who is ranked by many to be the best interior offensive line prospect in this year’s class. Back when the Dolphins possessed early round picks before the Tyreek Hill trade, Linderbaum was one of the players that Miami fans wanted to trade up for to bolster their line up front. But when all is said and done, he might be a player that the Dolphins game plan against twice a year for the near future.
The Patriots also hold the 54th and 85th overall picks in the early rounds.
