The Miami Dolphins will have to make roster cuts before the 2022 season even begins and some of these players may not even be on the roster next season.

It is hard enough to predict the future let alone do so with impending releases between now and the start of this season. That being said, given the direction that Miami is heading, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see these players playing their final year in Miami, if they make it through the season.

Myles Gaskin – Gaskin has done everything the Dolphins have asked and he plays hard every play. How well he fits into the McDaniel system will decide his future but the Dolphins rarely extend running backs and Gaskin is, if we are being honest, replaceable.

Salvon Ahmed – If Gaskin will be fighting for a spot, Ahmed has less of a chance but in his favor is money and Ahmed won’t cost as much to keep.

Preston Williams – To be honest, I don’t see him making the 2022 roster given the moves Miami has made this off-season.

Eric Rowe – The Dolphins have got a lot out of Rowe and they haven’t been disappointed but youth in the deep secondary makes Rowe expendable.

Adam Shaheen – Shaheen is decent but depending on what happens with Mike Gesicki, Shaheen doesn’t seem like someone who will be around beyond this year.
