Predicting the first 10 picks in this year’s NFL Draft and a surprise WR
It may be a bit surprising to see Thibodeaux fall this far, but with the recent rumors of “character concerns”, and a run on QBs and OTs, the Oregon pass rusher ends up in Seattle. The Seahawks are going all-in on rebuild mode after trading Russell Wilson and cutting Bobby Wagner this off-season. The biggest weakness on their team may be the defensive line, and with the immense talent of Thibodeaux, the reward outweighs the risk for the Seahawks who are looking to find new franchise cornerstones.
The Jets have been looking to add a star wide receiver all off-season. First, it was Tyreek Hill who ended up in Miami, and now it’s Deebo Samuel, who wants out of San Francisco. Maybe a trade gets done for Deebo before draft night, but if it doesn’t, I’m very confident that the Jets will take a wide receiver here, I’m just not exactly sure who. They’ve done a great job building a brick wall for their 2nd-year quarterback, Zach Wilson, but now they need to get him a weapon. The 6’4 USC receiver is said to be fully recovered from his ankle injury he suffered last season, and with a unique skill set that fits perfectly with Zach Wilson, the Jets make him the first receiver off the board.
That’s it for my Top 10 Mock Draft 1.0. If anything drastically changes in the next couple of days I may have to correct some of these picks, but at the moment I feel like it’s pretty accurate! Let me know @MathisReports what you think of the mock, and what changes you would make.
