Chris Grier is the Elon Musk of trades if the amount of trades you make is the same as how much money you have

We all know that the general manager, Chris Grier, is a real Joker when it comes to making trades. Chris Grier and making a trade go together like lamb and tuna fish. I think we all can agree on that.

Here’s a tweet illustrating my point. It’s from last year so you can tack on a few more. Clearly, Chris Grier wants to stay number one when it comes to trading.

Even though the Miami Dolphins only have four draft picks in this year’s draft, the Dolphins, currently, have eight draft picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. Two of those are 1st round picks, but as I’ve written in the very recent past, I think those are being stashed away for  ̶i̶f̶ ̶T̶u̶a̶ ̶T̶a̶g̶o̶v̶a̶i̶l̶o̶a̶ ̶f̶a̶l̶l̶s̶ ̶f̶l̶a̶t̶ a rainy day. Those picks could easily be burning a hole in Grier’s pocket.

Honestly, would anyone really be that surprised if we’re an hour into the draft and we see that the Miami Dolphins have made a trade with somebody to get to around #16 in the draft? I wouldn’t be. It’s in Chris Grier’s nature to be a wheeling-dealing son of a gun. He is always trying to make the team better regardless of what gets said about him. It doesn’t always work out but he is always thinking about the team and the future.

Also, the Dolphins do have a fair amount of talented players that they might be willing to part ways with if they absolutely love somebody in the 1st or 2nd round. Players such as Mike Gesicki, Christian Wilkins, and Byron Jones are players that I hope do not get dealt but they’re players that I can see the front office believing that they can replace quickly.

I’m not saying that is going to happen I’m just saying when you put Chris Grier in the war room, he’s liable to deal with anyone and everyone because that’s what he does. He’s like a compulsive gambler whose consistency I have no choice but to respect.
