Logan Bruss, Offensive Tackle – Wisconsin:

Height: 6’5″

Weight: 309 Lbs

Class: Senior

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wisconsin. 809. Tackle. LoganBruss. 2. player

Logan Bruss seems like a perfect fit for the Miami Dolphins’ offensive scheme on paper, as a senior Brass started 9 games at right tackle and gave up no sacks and only 1 pressure. Miami didn’t address the need for a right tackle in the off-season so Bruss could be an option.

Center is a position some have considered the Dolphins to be weak in, but I believe Michael Dieter is a good center and will improve drastically with better talent around him.

If center is covered then the last spot in the OL is RT and Bruss would actually be a perfect fit for Mike McDaniel’s running schemes, NFL network analyst Lance Zierlein said this about Bruss:

"Guard prospect with tackle flexibility who appears to be well-equipped for the NFL game. Bruss is well-proportioned with athletic feet and good core strength. He takes efficient angles to the block in Wisconsin’s zone-heavy running scheme but has the body control, leverage, and play strength to operate in any running scheme."

Bruss doesn’t have elite speed so athletic pass rushers could pose a problem, and he dealt with injuries that made him sit out the last 3 games of the season. But at the end of the day, this is a 4th-round pick and at 6’5″ 309 lbs, Bruss has the build, skill, and tools available to possibly become good depth or even compete for the RT position.

So far we have linebacker and right tackle checked off the list, from here the Dolphins don’t pick again for a while but they might find a hidden gem.
