Round 7, Pick 224: D’Vonte Price, RB, Florida International

I know, another late-round running back. It’s been such an annoying theme of the Miami Dolphins in the draft, and honestly, I think it continues with new head coach Mike McDaniel too.

I still would love to see a running back at pick 102, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the draft play out with another late-round flier at running back.

If that is the way they go, I hope the late-round running back they pick is Florida international’s D’Vonte Price.

Price could be a late-round gem that could fit nicely in Miami’s running back by committee approach.

Round 7, Pick 247: Kevin Austin Jr., WR, Notre Dame

Kevin Austin Jr. has the talent to go earlier than the 7th, but off-field stuff and injuries could make him available for Miami in the 7th. If he’s there, McDaniel and Miami should take the risk.

Austin could push Preston Williams for one of the last receiver spots, and he could be a guy that helps contribute a few snaps and catches for Miami behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Cedrick Wilson.
