Three great undrafted free agents Miami Dolphins have signed
The Miami Dolphins added to their running back room by signing undrafted free agent ZaQuandre White out of South Carolina.
White was CBS Sports 18th best running back coming into the NFL Draft. The pro comparison they assigned him was Marlon Mack.
He comes in at 6β0 and 215 lbs. With all the speed the Fins currently have adding a stronger back like White makes sense.
He originally started his college career at Florida State where he was a linebacker. After leaving Florida State he eventually found his way to South Carolina where he played running back.
White was not the primary back in college but he was very productive with the limited snaps he did see last season. Averaging 6.3 yards per carry, he rushed 88 times.
While he had a disappointing pro day running a 4.63 40-yard dash, and only was able to do 9 reps at the bench press.
Per Pro Football Focus, he is a better athlete on tape than what the testing numbers showed. White will have to be to make the Miami Dolphins roster.
With his one-cut agility, it can add another layer to the Fins running game that has needed a boost for years now.
It will be fun to see if the Miami Dolphins staff can coach White up to become a staple in the backfield for years to come.
