Miami Dolphins value contract #5. Christian Wilkins

This will be the final season of affordability for Christian Wilkins, who quietly became one of the better interior linemen in the AFC last year.

Wilkins was tied with Cameron Heyward for most tackles by any defensive lineman in the league, and added 4.5 sacks, more than Pro Bowlers Vita Vea and Kenny Clark. He is a part of a defensive line that has been underrated in years past, but is something that could change this upcoming season with more eyeballs on the Dolphins.

Wilkins’ cap hit will be $4.9 million in 2022, but will likely double (and then some) for the subsequent seasons. There is a team option on the 5th year of his contract worth $10.7 million, which is something that Miami will likely pick up. After that, he could be in line for a pay day.

Miami Dolphins value contract #6: Jevon Holland

Another one of the players still on his rookie contract, Jevon Holland is a couple of years away from earning a big pay day. But his production could make him one of the best bargains, not only on the team, but the entire league.

Holland was very impressive in his inaugural NFL season in 2021, turning heads with big hits, ball hawking skills, and general knack for being around the ball during big plays. While we can pump the brakes on those calling him the next great NFL safety, he does have the makings to have repeat appearances in future Pro Bowls.

Holland will be owed less than $2 million for the upcoming season, and just $2.3 million for the season after.
