Miami Dolphins opposing pass rusher #3: Myles Garrett

One of the most intriguing games on the schedule for the Miami Dolphins will be their match-up with the Cleveland Browns. Not only will the two teams likely be battling for a wild card spot for the postseason, but there are storylines aplenty.

The Deshaun Watson saga still has a few chapters to play out, but Miami was a big player in that sweepstakes as recently as 6 months ago. It is unclear whether he will be available when the two teams meet, but the Dolphins will play against their old pal Jacoby Brissett if he isn’t.

But the player that the Dolphins will have to game plan for the most could end up being Myles Garrett. The former number one overall pick has lived up to expectations, with 58.5 sacks in his first five seasons, and Pro Bowl appearances in the seasons that he has remained healthy throughout.

Garrett had a career year in 2021, coming in third in the NFL with 16 sacks, a Brown’s team record that he broke with four games remaining on the schedule. He also hit the quarterback an impressive 33 times. Depending on where he lines up against Miami, some offensive lineman for the Dolphins is going to have his hands full.
