Miami Dolphins opposing pass rusher #2: Robert Quinn

One of the more unlikely candidates on our list, Robert Quinn will have a hard time emulating his sack numbers from a season ago.

Easily the oldest player on our list, it seemed as though Quinn’s best days were behind him. He was a part of the Dolphins roster four seasons ago when he started all 16 games and sacked the quarterback 6.5 times. It looked as though he had some juice left in the tank, but not enough to make him one of the league’s premier pass rushers again.

Quinn went five years between double-digit sack seasons but had a career renaissance in Dallas in 2020 when he amassed 11.5 sacks. He had just 2 in his first year with the Chicago Bears in 2021 and then exploded last season. Quinn had an impressive 18.5 QB take-downs last year, just a half-sack off of his career-high that he set eight seasons prior in 2013 with the St. Louis Rams.

Quinn will be 32 years old by the time the regular season rolls around, and it isn’t unfair to question just how much he has left in the tank. But if the last three years are any indication, then the Dolphins could have their hands full up from when they play against the Chicago Bears in 2021.
