AFC draft picks that pose a problem for the Miami Dolphins

Another team Dolphins fans despise also got stronger, the Buffalo Bills:

The Buffalo Bills had the #1 ranked defense in the NFL in 2021, and after suffering some injuries in their secondary they went out to get depth.

Kaiir Elam – Cornerback – Bills:

Buffalo gets themselves a top corner in this year’s draft, a piece needed with urgency if Buffalo wants to keep a top 5 defense with the offensive upgrades that happened in the entire AFC.

Elam was a standout at UF and has the potential to be a day one starter, however with how stacked Buffalo is on defense I expect him to be a depth piece before transitioning to a more meaningful role later.

James Cook – Running Back – Bills:

What was the Bills biggest weakness last year? The run game, easily. And where did the Bills get a major upgrade with James Cook? the run game.

Not good news if you’re Miami or any other team in the conference, the Bills run game was pretty much nonexistent the past few years. It was so bad at some points that QB Josh Allen was forced to be the team’s primary runner during many games.

Now the Bills get a huge upgrade at that position with James Cook, who is Dalvin Cook’s little brother. Cook is electric and could become a nightmare to cover especially with how useful he can be in the passing game.
