One of the two quarterbacks that Tua Tagovailoa will always be linked with due to their draft positions is Justin Herbert.

There were some had Herbert higher on their boards during the 2020 NFL Draft, but the general consensus was that Tagovailoa was the better prospect, and the Dolphins selected him with the 5th overall pick. Herbert was taken by the Chargers with the very next selection, and he has had one of the best statistical starts to a career of any quarterback in team history.

Fans of the Miami Dolphins are left dreaming about what could have been if the team had selected Herbert instead, but many of us still have faith in what Tagovailoa can bring to the table.

The two will face off for the second time in their short careers in a game in Los Angeles this coming season. The first match up came during their rookie seasons, and Tagovailoa and his team came out on top with a 29-21 victory. The Chargers will certainly be a stronger team than they were back then, as Herbert has far more experience under his belt.

But it will certainly be a game that both guys circle on their calendars.
