Miami Dolphins road trip #1:

@ San Francisco 49ers – Sunday, December 4th 1pm local

Rejoice, west coast Dolphins fans.

Miami will play two games in California in 2022, with dates against the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers. The schedule makers have made it easy for the Dolphins, putting the games on back-to-back weekends, saving the team two cross-country flights.

The games will be played on Sunday, December 4th and Sunday, December 11th, and you can take your pick depending on your proximity.

The matchup between the Dolphins and 49ers will have story lines aplenty. New head coach Mike McDaniel will be making his return to San Francisco to square off against his old team as well as long-time mentor Kyle Shanahan, and running back Raheem Mostert will be doing the same.

To add to the importance, the Dolphins hold the rights to the 49ers first round pick in 2023, making a late-season road victory even more essential for Miami.

The 49ers play about 40 miles south of San Francisco in the city of Santa Clara. They play in Levi Stadium, which was actually built with a design that had another location in mind. Because of this, there are some pretty unfavorable seat locations due to the direct sunlight that cooks your skin and a glare that melts your eyeballs.

It shouldn’t be hot in December, but grab tickets underneath the press boxes for your best viewing experience.
