The New England Patriots are kind of an enigma heading into the 2022 season. In 2021 they made the playoffs and got blown out by the Bills. This year, they are looking up at the AFC East crown.

If there is one thing that drives many AFC East fans crazy is the love that Mac Jones gets by the media but he is going to show whether or not they are right or wrong in 2022.

The Patriots will open the season in Miami and that is always tough for Bill Belichick. They will open their season with two road games playing in Pittsburgh week 2. A game they should win given the changes on the Steelers roster.

For the Patriots, the schedule gets tougher after that, at least for two weeks. They will play at home against the Ravens and then travel to Green Bay. Their next four are against the Lions, Browns, Bears, and Jets and the Browns are the only team that could give them a problem.

In week six, they face the Colts in Foxboro and will have their bye week next (week 10) before staying home for the Jets and then another road game against the Vikings. The Bills will come to New England the following week and from there, the Patriots face their toughest stretch.

New England will play the Bills then travel to Arizona and Las Vegas before coming back home for the Bengals and their second game against the Dolphins before wrapping the season against the Bills in Buffalo.

The last six games for the Patriots are going to be big games and directly impact their playoff chances. All six teams will be playing division and playoff seeding, three of those games are on the road. All in all, this is going to be an interesting season for the Mac Jones led Patriots.
