Miami Dolphins Must Win game #3:

Week 15 – Sunday, December 18th – Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills

The final stretch of the season is riddled with games that the Dolphins would love to win. They could help themselves twice by beating the 49ers (and elevating the draft pick that San Francisco owes them) in Week 13, or they could get bragging rights over Justin Herbert and the Chargers by beating them on a cross-country trip. Or, Miami could make some serious noise in Week 16 by defeating Aaron Rodgers on Christmas Day.

But the one victory that would aid the Dolphins more than any other would be if they were able to defeat the Bills on the road in Buffalo on December 18th.

If Miami has any aspirations of becoming Super Bowl contenders, they’ll have to regularly be in contention for the AFC East division title. In order to be division champions, they’ll have to be able to defeat the Bills on a regular basis, something they haven’t even caught a glimpse of in years.

The Dolphins defeated the Bills in Josh Allen’s first game in the rivalry in 2018, and the now-MVP candidate hasn’t lost to Miami since. In fact, his splits against the Dolphins are so impressive, they blow his other numbers out of the water, even those against the Patriots and Jets.

They’ll of course play twice, just like the other teams on our list, but this one could end up being the most important game of the season. They’ll play against the Patriots in the second-to-last week of the year, a game which could have major playoff implications for the Dolphins.

But it is more likely that it is the Bills that they will be battling with for AFC supremacy, making the Week 15 match up very important. If, theoretically, the Dolphins are behind by a game or two in the standings, then winning that elusive game in Buffalo could go a long way in getting them back in to the race for the division title.
