Miami Dolphins storylines Weeks 14 & 15

Week 14: @ Chargers

The second West Coast game will be played the following week as the Dolphins head south for a date with the Chargers.

While he’ll come out and say that every game is equally as important, you can be sure that Tua Tagovailoa is circling this game on his calendar. His counterpart for the day will be Justin Herbert, whose legacy Tua’s will be linked with forever given their draft position.

Herbert has been the better of the two when it comes to statistical output in their early stages, and Tagovailoa undoubtedly hears the noise about the “mistake” the Dolphins made by not drafting the Oregon product in 2020. The game will almost certainly be an important late-season AFC playoff picture matchup, but it will have added fuel given the quarterback situation for Miami.

Week 15: @ Bills

The first match-up between the Dolphins and the Bills will be an important one, but the second meeting could be the must-win game of the year for Miami.

Getting through Buffalo will be the goal for the near future, but it is especially true for the road games. The NFL often schedules the latter contest to be played in Western New York, where adverse weather often presents another challenge for the warm-weather Dolphins. This has gotten the best of Miami recently, as they fell flat in a below-freezing, must-win game just a couple of seasons ago.
