Predicting the Miami Dolphins games against the New England Patriots

vs. Patriots (Sunday, Sept. 11) Final score: 24-13 Dolphins
@ Patriots (Sunday, Jan. 1) Final score: 23-20 Dolphins

After their two-decade dominance, the Patriots are no longer the juggernaut that they once were to the rest of the teams in the AFC East. This is music to the ears of Dolphins fans, and Miami has taken advantage by going 4-1 in the last 5 match ups between the two.

Miami will look to continue that recent dominance in 2022, and should be able to if Mike McDaniel and his new regime are able to live up to expectations. New England had one of the quieter offseasons of the teams in the division, and they might be in trouble if second-year quarterback Mac Jones isn’t the successor to Tom Brady that they had hoped.

The season opener will certainly be filled with pre-game jitters and butterflies after a whirlwind of an offseason, but look for Miami to overcome. The first match up with the Patriots will be a good win for a Dolphins team that is simply more talented, but the second match up will be a late-season slug fest in what could be a snowy Gillette Stadium on New Year’s Day. Miami sweeps the season series.
