#7: The unproven

If I’m going to be honest, I’m not sure how anyone can possibly rank the undrafted and journeymen receivers on the Dolphins roster.

Trent Sherfield, Cody Core, River Cracraft, DeVonte Dedmon, and Braylon Sanders have a combined 77 catches, 900 yards, and 3 touchdowns in the NFL.

There’s not a whole lot to go off of, so that’s why I think this group of players deserves their own ranking.

It’s a long shot any of these guys make the Dolphins’ final 53-man roster, and if they do, it will more likely than not be for special teams reasons.

If I had to pick one player that has the best chance to make the final roster it would be Cody Core. Core has been around the NFL since 2016 when he was drafted in the 6th round by the Cincinnati Bengals but has not played in a game since 2019.

He’s quietly been a solid contributor for the Dolphins during OTA’s, and it’ll be very interesting to see if he continues to flash when the pads come on in Training Camp. As a 6 year veteran, it’s not uncommon to flash early in the off-season program, it’s all about how you show up in August.
