Miami Dolphins can’t roll with San Francisco in McDaniel return

Mike McDaniel brings his Miami Dolphins back to the West Coast and San Francisco for the first time since becoming an NFL head coach. While he has been having a great start to his career, he can’t match up against his former team.

The 49ers could be good or they could be very bad. I’m not sure there is much of an in-between given the fact they came one game from going back to the Super Bowl last year. I expect them to be good enough this week.

Miami matches well with the 49ers on paper but the long travel to the opposite side of the country and the tough 49er defense make this road game a challenge.

It will be interesting to see who is leading the team on the field for the 49ers. Will it remain Jimmy Garoppolo or will Trey Lance be given the team? Speculation is the 49ers are sticking with Jimmy G. but that could change at any point.

The Dolphins will need to stop the 49er’s running game and their passing game while having to play near flawlessly on offense. It might be too much to hope for.
