Miami Dolphins beat Baltimore to improve to 2-0

Lamar Jackson will be the key in this early season game that could have playoff implications later in the season. The Ravens could head back to the post-season but they will have to do better than the Browns and Super Bowl runner-up Bengals.

For the Dolphins, this early season road trip isn’t too bad. The Ravens want to atone for the loss to Miami last year.

This is a game that sets up as a defensive battle with both clubs having the players on that side of the ball to keep the other offense off balance.

The Ravens underwent quite a bit of change this off-season as well. Sammy Watkins is with the Packers and the Ravens traded Marquise “Hollywood” Brown during the draft leaving them thin at WR. Currently, only two players are entering their 3rd seasons in the NFL and both are not high-profile. The rest of the unit will either be made up of rookies or two-year players.

At RB, the Ravens have a couple of players that can make dents in the defense but they are not explosive and the top runner for the Ravens in 2022 is still expected to be Lamar Jackson. The top WR should be TE Mark Andrews.

Overall, this is a game the Dolphins, even with their questions, can win. They are built to win these games and the defense should be better than last year. The offense, which will still be learning the system only needs to not make big mistakes.
