Miami Dolphins win second straight against NFC North

Last year, the Miami Dolphins were taking on the Houston Texans at home. This year, they are heading north to face the Bears. Perhaps the Dolphins would be smart to just stay in the north for the week given the back-to-back games against two teams that are so close together geographically.

The Bears are going to be an improved team in 2022 but a lot of their success is going to depend on their offense getting better as well as quarterback Justin Fields. The young QB has a great arm and can run the ball but against the Dolphins’ defense, he isn’t going to find the same running lanes he might against other teams.

Miami should be favored to win this game and it would be surprising if they don’t win by a good margin. The Bears, like the Vikings and Lions, are still a couple of years from being better, and of the three, the Bears might be closer but it is still a lot to ask of a team that finished with a record of 6-11 and have gone through as many changes this off-season as they have.

Like Miami, the Bears are hoping that a new head coach can turn the franchise around. Matt Eberflus has 13 years of NFL experience and the last four were spent as the Colts DC. Now he will need to improve both sides of the ball.
