Miami Dolphins possible first-time Pro Bowler: Tua Tagovailoa

The 2022 season has the possibility to go many different ways for Tua Tagovailoa, and many pundits and talking heads believe that his third season will be his last one with the Miami Dolphins. His struggles over his first two seasons can be accredited to a handful of different things, and the same franchise that took 7 years to evaluate Ryan Tannehill will be doing more of the same for the third year of Tagovailoa.

But if things break correctly and Tagovailoa succeeds with the new weapons around him, then he may have a shot at his first Pro Bowl appearance. But the competition will be fierce. The AFC is laden with great quarterback talent, most of whom are young and looking to add to their list of honors. Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes were the honorees last season, and Derrick Carr and Joe Burrow are going to have a say in how things play out.

In reality, it will probably take an injury to one of the aforementioned players in order for Tagovailoa to have a chance. But if he is able to put up the big numbers that some of us expect him to, then he should at least be in consideration with the voters.
