The bad ending – how does it play out?

In my opinion, this is the least likely scenario, but it can still be very possible with all the factors at stake.

A rookie Head Coach Mike Mcdaniel gets off to an expected slow start, 1-3 or 2-4 to kick off the 2022 season is in my opinion very realistic and the Dolphins had a similar start in the other 2 scenarios I mentioned earlier.

But McDaniel kept the team together and Tua was able to lead on the field in those scenarios, in the bad ending the Dolphins have the expected slow start but don’t end up recovering. instead, they keep digging a deeper hole all due to mistakes.

The catalyst to this becoming a snowball effect that turns into a disaster is week 5, The Dolphins play the Patriots in week 1 which is a W. Then Miami travels to Baltimore, after that they prepare for the Bills at home, and then they have to show up in Cincinnati 4 days later to play the Bengals.

See how 1-3 becomes very likely? Don’t sound the alarms yet, but if the Dolphins travel to Metlife for week 5 and lose… oh boy. Then they only have 1 game to figure things out vs the Vikings before having to go on primetime TV vs the Steelers.

In the Vikings game, I have it as a loss for the Dolphins, they are a very tricky opponent and always play up to the higher competition.

Now you wake up on a Monday to see a 1-5 Miami Dolphins team that has days to gather themselves before going on Sunday Night Football, the brightest lights in the regular season. At this point, Miami is rattled and they are up against the ropes, which makes this game vs Pitt a life or death situation.

That’s if Miami still has a pulse for a playoff push at this point.

With no confidence and filled with doubt the Dolphins lose a heartbreaker in primetime to go down to a 1-6 record even after making the most drastic changes this off-season.

Expectations as we know them are shattered. McDaniel is incapable of facing adversity, Tua shows little to no improvement, the defense takes a scary regression, and the offensive weaponry turns into divas that only want to look after themselves.

Dolphins fans never expected anything like this, and they question if they’ll ever see a winning team.

Scared yet? Well, good thing this isn’t reality! (yet, hopefully).
